Business travellers flying with British Airways through Heathrow will soon enjoy improved services if they have a connecting flight.

BA carried out a trial of new services and is now offering smoother transfers through the UK’s busiest airport. Its First, Club Europe and Club World passengers, as well as Silver and Gold Executive Club members will now be chauffeur driven in an executive car to their next flight if they are at risk of missing their connection at the airport.

Other services include flights with many connecting passengers being directed to the aircraft stands that make transferring onto the next flight more convenient. Vehicle transfers will also be laid on if a large number of passengers are connecting from one aircraft to another.

If passengers do miss their connections they can be re-booked onto another BA flights and will be given vouchers to cover overnight accommodation and refreshments where necessary.

Head of customer service at Heathrow for BA, Tom Stevens, commented: “We know how important it is for our customers to transfer through the airport quickly and smoothly, and all of  these additional initiatives show them we’ll always go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.”

A large number of business travellers stay in executive accommodation in Windsor, but many more transfer through Heathrow on their way to other destinations. These latest improvements to BA’s service will be welcomed by business travellers the world over.
